Welcome to ZentaoEast.
ZentaoEast is a brand of Vicony Teas Co., Ltd. (黄山薇可尼茶叶有限公司) and is operated through its ZENTAOEAST Studio in Huangshan, Anhui Province, China.
Throughout these Terms of Service, the terms “ZentaoEast,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Vicony Teas Co., Ltd. and its ZENTAOEAST Studio.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of zentaoeast.com (the “Site”), including your purchase of products and use of any services, content, features, or tools made available through the Site.
By accessing the Site, creating an account, or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms together with any policies incorporated into them by reference, including our Privacy Policy and Shipping, Customs & Returns Policy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or overrides any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
SECTION 1 — ELIGIBILITY AND USE OF THE SITE
You may use the Site and place orders only if you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws applicable to you.
If you are under the applicable age of legal capacity, you may use the Site only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian.
You may not use the Site or our products:
For any unlawful or unauthorized purpose;
In violation of applicable laws or regulations;

SECTION 2 — OUR PRODUCTS
ZentaoEast curates and offers tea, teaware, handcrafted objects, artisan works, natural materials, adornments, cultural objects, and related products inspired by Eastern aesthetics and traditional craftsmanship.
Many of our products are handmade, naturally sourced, individually finished, seasonally produced, or available only in very limited quantities.
Accordingly, two pieces of the same general design or description may not be perfectly identical.
Product photographs, videos, measurements, descriptions, tasting notes, material information, and other details are provided with reasonable care to help you understand the character of each product.
However, natural and handcrafted objects may contain variations that are inherent to their materials or method of production.
SECTION 3 — HANDCRAFTED AND NATURAL MATERIALS
Many ZentaoEast objects are made individually by hand rather than by standardized industrial production.
Handcrafted Characteristics
Products such as Zisha teapots, ceramics, porcelain, wooden objects, artisan accessories, and other handcrafted works may contain subtle differences in:
Shape;
Dimensions;
Weight;
Surface texture;
Tool marks;
Handmade impressions;
Glaze;
Firing marks;
Color distribution;
Finish;
Other characteristics resulting from manual production.
Minor variations inherent to genuine handcraftsmanship are not, by themselves, considered defects.
Natural Materials
Natural stones, minerals, clay, wood, crystals, and similar materials may contain naturally occurring characteristics such as:
Mineral inclusions;
Color variation;
Grain variation;
Natural lines;
Texture differences;
Small spots or specks;
Other formations inherent to the material.
These natural characteristics do not necessarily indicate damage or defective workmanship.
Color and Appearance
Colors and surface characteristics may appear differently depending on:
Natural or artificial lighting;
Screen calibration;
Device display settings;
Photography conditions;
Viewing environment.
We make reasonable efforts to represent products accurately, but we cannot guarantee that every screen will reproduce the exact color or appearance of a physical object.
Statutory Rights
The provisions above are intended to explain the natural characteristics of handcrafted and natural objects.
They do not affect any mandatory rights you may have where a product is defective, damaged, materially different from its description, or otherwise does not conform to applicable legal requirements.
SECTION 4 — TEA AND NATURAL FOOD PRODUCTS
Tea is an agricultural and natural product. Its aroma, appearance, leaf shape, flavor, and sensory characteristics may vary slightly between harvests, storage conditions, preparation methods, water quality, and individual perception.
Tasting notes and sensory descriptions published on ZentaoEast represent our observations and are intended to help describe a tea. They do not guarantee that every individual will perceive the tea in exactly the same way.
Customers are responsible for following any storage and preparation instructions provided with the product or on the Site.
Opened tea is not accepted for voluntary returns or exchanges based solely on personal preference or change of mind, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
If you believe tea has arrived damaged, compromised, defective, deteriorated, or materially inconsistent with its description, please contact us promptly so that we can investigate the matter.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights relating to defective, damaged, or non-conforming goods.
Any cultural, historical, traditional, or lifestyle information published on ZentaoEast is provided for informational and editorial purposes and should not be interpreted as medical advice or as a claim to diagnose, prevent, treat, or cure any disease or health condition.
SECTION 5 — PRODUCT AVAILABILITY AND LIMITED WORKS
Many ZentaoEast products are produced in small quantities, individually handcrafted, or available as one-of-a-kind works.
Placing an item in your shopping cart does not reserve the item.
Although we take reasonable steps to maintain accurate inventory information, inventory synchronization errors, simultaneous purchases, technical problems, or other exceptional circumstances may occasionally result in an unavailable product appearing as available.
We reserve the right to limit quantities or cancel an order where:
A product is unavailable;
Inventory information is incorrect;
A material pricing or product-description error has occurred;
We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorized payment activity;
We cannot legally or reasonably ship the product to the destination provided;
Fulfillment becomes impossible for circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
SECTION 6 — ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION
When you place an order, you are submitting an offer to purchase the products shown in your order.
After your order is submitted, you may receive an automated email confirming that we have received it.
An automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have completed all payment, inventory, fraud, or fulfillment checks.
We reserve the right to review an order before dispatch.
We may contact you where reasonably necessary to:
Verify an address;
Confirm order details;
Resolve payment issues;
Request information necessary for customs clearance;
Investigate suspected fraud;
Confirm details relating to a high-value or unusual transaction.
If an order cannot be accepted, we will notify you and, where payment has already been collected, arrange an appropriate refund.
Nothing in this section affects any rights relating to contract formation that arise under mandatory applicable law.
SECTION 7 — PRICING AND CURRENCY
Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the Site or selected through any currency functionality available to you.
The currency and total amount shown during checkout will govern your transaction, subject to any taxes, duties, or charges disclosed separately.
We may change product prices at any time before an order is placed.
A price change will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted, except where permitted by law in the case of an obvious or material pricing error.
Your bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider may apply:
Currency-conversion rates;
Foreign transaction fees;
Card fees;
Other charges outside our control.
Any such third-party charges are governed by your agreement with the relevant financial or payment provider.
SECTION 8 — PAYMENTS
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers made available at checkout, currently including PayPal.
Additional payment methods may be added, changed, or removed from time to time.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, contact, and payment information when placing an order.
You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method submitted with your order.
Payment providers may independently perform fraud, sanctions, identity, or risk screening in accordance with their own policies and legal obligations.
We do not directly store complete payment card numbers, card security codes, or your PayPal login credentials on our servers.
SECTION 9 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
ZentaoEast ships products internationally from China.
Estimated dispatch and delivery times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
International delivery may be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
Customs processing;
Border inspections;
Carrier delays;
Weather;
Public holidays;
Flight capacity;
Security inspections;
Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;
Local delivery restrictions;
Force majeure events.
We will take reasonable steps to assist with delivery issues where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights relating to delivery deadlines or undelivered goods.

SECTION 10 — CUSTOMS, IMPORT DUTIES, TAXES AND VAT
International orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, customs charges, brokerage fees, or other taxes and charges imposed by the destination country.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or included under a specific tax or Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) arrangement, such charges may not be included in the product price or shipping fee paid to ZentaoEast.
Where applicable, these charges may be collected separately by:
Customs authorities;
Postal operators;
Couriers;
Logistics providers;
Other authorized parties.
The amount and treatment of these charges depend on the destination country, product type, value, shipping method, and applicable law.
ZentaoEast does not control charges imposed directly by foreign customs or tax authorities.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and reasonable cooperation where required for customs clearance.
SECTION 11 — CUSTOMS REFUSAL, FAILED DELIVERY AND UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS
If a shipment cannot be delivered because the recipient:
Provides an incorrect or incomplete address;
Refuses to provide information reasonably required for customs clearance;
Fails to pay lawfully imposed import charges;
Refuses delivery without a legally valid reason;
Fails to collect a shipment within the carrier's applicable collection period;
the shipment may be returned to us or otherwise handled by the carrier in accordance with its procedures.
Where a refund is otherwise due, we may, to the extent permitted by applicable law, deduct documented and non-recoverable costs actually incurred as a direct result of the failed delivery or return.
These costs may include reasonable return transportation, carrier, customs, or handling charges actually charged to us.
We do not impose an automatic percentage-based restocking fee.
This section does not apply in a way that limits your mandatory rights where a refusal or return is caused by defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or non-conforming goods.
SECTION 12 — RETURNS, REFUNDS AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Returns and refunds are governed by our Shipping, Customs & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Depending on your country of residence and the nature and condition of the product, you may have statutory cancellation, withdrawal, return, refund, repair, replacement, or other consumer rights.
Where applicable law grants you a statutory right of withdrawal, nothing in these Terms or our Refund Policy is intended to prevent you from exercising that right.
Where applicable, consumers may be responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when this has been properly disclosed in advance and permitted by law.
A customer's liability for any reduction in value resulting from handling a product will be determined in accordance with applicable law rather than by an automatic restocking percentage.
Certain products may be subject to lawful exceptions or restrictions on change-of-mind returns because of their nature or condition.
In particular, as explained in our Refund Policy, opened tea is not accepted for voluntary return or exchange solely because of personal preference or change of mind, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
This does not affect rights relating to tea or other goods that are defective, damaged, compromised, or non-conforming.
Return Instructions
Please contact us before physically sending a product back.
We will provide the appropriate return address and any relevant return instructions based on the product, order, and destination.
Our registered business address and ZENTAOEAST Studio address are not designated product return addresses unless we expressly instruct you otherwise.
Sending a product to an incorrect or unauthorized physical location may delay processing and may result in avoidable costs, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
SECTION 13 — DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR NON-CONFORMING GOODS
If you believe that a product was damaged during transportation, is defective, has deteriorated, is incorrect, or materially differs from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:
To help us investigate the issue fairly and efficiently, we may reasonably request information such as:
Your order number;
Photographs of the outer shipping package;
Photographs of the inner packaging;
Photographs or video of the product;
Shipping labels;
Product labels or batch information;
The condition of any seals or packaging;
Remaining quantity or weight where relevant;
A description of the issue.
For high-value, handcrafted, natural, or food products, such information can help us distinguish transportation damage, product defects, natural characteristics, and other causes.
A request for reasonable evidence is intended to allow us to investigate the claim and does not remove or reduce any statutory consumer rights.
We may also use pre-dispatch photographs, packaging records, weight records, inspection information, and other fulfillment records when reviewing a claim.
SECTION 14 — ACCOUNTS AND ACCOUNT SECURITY
If you create a customer account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.
Please provide accurate and current account information.
You should notify us promptly if you believe:
Your account has been accessed without authorization;
Your password has been compromised;
An order was placed without your permission.
We may temporarily restrict an account where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity.
SECTION 15 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its original content, including:
Text;
Editorial writing;
Brand materials;
Photography;
Video;
Graphics;
Illustrations;
Logos;
Layouts;
Design elements;
Artwork;
Archives;
Annals;
Field Notes;
Interviews;
Product descriptions;
Cultural and documentary materials;
are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission by Vicony Teas Co., Ltd., ZentaoEast, or the relevant rights holders.
Such content may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Without our prior written permission, you may not reproduce, republish, commercially exploit, systematically download, distribute, modify, or create unauthorized derivative works from protected ZentaoEast content.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
SECTION 16 — ARTISANS AND THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS
Certain products, images, names, stories, artworks, designs, or other materials may relate to independent artisans, photographers, creators, or other third parties.
Rights in such materials remain with their respective owners where applicable.
The inclusion of an artisan's work or story on ZentaoEast does not grant visitors any right to reproduce, manufacture, copy, commercially exploit, or misrepresent that artisan's work.
SECTION 17 — CUSTOMER CONTENT, REVIEWS AND COMMUNICATIONS
If you voluntarily submit reviews, comments, photographs, or other content for publication on the Site, you confirm that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person.
Where you expressly submit content for public display, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and format that content for the purposes of operating and promoting ZentaoEast and the relevant product or editorial content.
This does not apply to private customer-service communications or evidence supplied solely for the investigation of a return, damage, or quality claim unless you separately authorize us to publish it.
We reserve the right to remove public submissions that are unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, infringing, or unrelated to the relevant content.
SECTION 18 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The Site may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment providers, couriers, social platforms, analytics services, or other websites.
Those third parties operate independently and may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, or practices of third-party services that we do not control.
Nothing in this section limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Any correction relating to an existing consumer order will remain subject to applicable contractual and consumer-protection law.
SECTION 20 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights or statutory remedies relating to defective, damaged, unsafe, or non-conforming goods.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ZentaoEast and Vicony Teas Co., Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from:
Your use or inability to use the Site;
Events outside our reasonable control;
Third-party services that we do not control;
Misuse of a product contrary to instructions or its intended purpose.
Any limitation of liability under these Terms applies only to the extent it is lawful, fair, and enforceable in the jurisdiction applicable to the relevant customer.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
SECTION 21 — EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where that delay or failure results from circumstances outside our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Such circumstances may include:
Natural disasters;
Severe weather;
Epidemics or public-health emergencies;
War or civil disturbance;
Government restrictions;
Customs disruptions;
Transportation shutdowns;
Carrier interruptions;
Power or communications failures;
Other comparable events beyond our reasonable control.
This section does not remove any mandatory rights you may have if goods are not delivered within a legally required or agreed period.

Your use of the Site and any personal information we process are also governed by our Privacy Policy.

SECTION 23 — GOVERNING LAW AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
These Terms and contracts entered into through ZentaoEast are generally governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, subject to the provisions below.
If you are a consumer and mandatory laws in your country of habitual residence provide protections that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract, the choice of PRC law in these Terms does not deprive you of those protections.
Accordingly, customers in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection rules may continue to benefit from those rights where they apply.
SECTION 24 — DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND JURISDICTION

Subject to any mandatory jurisdictional rights available to consumers under applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the Site, or purchases from ZentaoEast may be submitted to the competent courts in Huangshan, Anhui Province, People's Republic of China.
Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim before another court where applicable mandatory law gives the consumer the right to do so.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:

Changes to payment or delivery arrangements;
Operational changes;
Legal or regulatory developments;
